Two NAFAS Areas arranged flowers on 9th November 2024 for the Remembrance Service at Westminster Abbey.
From the North Midlands Area, Di Smith and Pauline Foster, assisted by Jayne Merriman, created two beautiful pedestals at The Quire.
Representing Flowers North West were Ann Morgan and Sue Maddocks at the High Altar, Sara Barrow at the Nave, and Kathleen Dean near the portrait of Richard II.
All the ladies brought their own choice of filler foliage with Linda O’Sullivan, NAFAS Westminster Abbey Co-Ordinator choosing the following flowers: red Gerbera, with a black eye, red carnations, red roses, red lilies, red Leucadendron, green bloom chrysanths, red spray chrysanths, red kangaroo paw, along with larger foliage (long soft ruscus, aspidistra, and monstera).
